Clean Cities Green Drive$ Conference & Expo

May 19, 2016
On May 19, 2016, over 240 attendees participated in the 5th annual Clean Cities Green Drive$ Conference & Expo at the Northern Illinois University Naperville Meeting and Conference Center. Participants took part in a day-long program featuring plenary and breakout sessions covering a variety of topics on advanced vehicle technologies, technology evaluation and fleet suitability, vehicle and infrastructure incentives, and fleet best practices. Vehicle and engine manufacturers such as Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Nissan, and Cummins led panel discussions on the future of clean vehicle technologies. GreenDrive$ also featured a Ride and Drive event with over 40 clean and alternative fuel vehicles available for participants to take the wheel and drive to experience the benefits of the efficient vehicles.

Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition’s vice chairman, John Walton, best summed up the gathering of fleet managers, corporate executives, vehicle suppliers, and industry experts: “The trend toward using more efficient vehicles and alternative fuels continues.”
